    Angry Adam is dead, NI support too.....

    Dear All,
    I'm having a problem with my ADAM (LCD+wifi) that it is not starting (booting). A luminous screen appears when power switch turned on. Noting happens afterwards. The replay from NI support team didn't worked. Since 2Aug11 NI support team stopped replying on issue (strangely / deliberately). The reply from NI support was
    Dear Suraj,

    Greetings! This is Thaheer from Notion Ink Support Team.

    I'm sorry to know that the Adam is not booting and apologize for the inconvenience that has been caused.

    I suggest you to Wipe/Rest the user data as follows and check for the issue.
    Turn off the Adam and make sure that it is connected to a power source.
    Press and hold the Volume '+' button and pull down the power slider for 20-30 seconds continuously. The Adam should boot into the Recovery mode.
    If this is successful, the following message should be displayed on the top left corner of the screen.

    "Detected a recovery key pressed
    Booting into recovery kernel image"
    After that, using the volume rocker buttons, navigate to Wipe data/factory reset and choose it by tapping on the Options button (third from top). In the next menu, choose Yes by navigating to and tapping on the Options button.
    Now, choose Reboot System now by tapping on the Options button.
    This should resolve the issue. If the issue still persists, please get back to us, we will surely further assist you with this.

    Dear Sir,

    Kindly guide what is the reason it happened once past 10 day before but after an hour or more it started.
    I also experienced this when I insert USB drive and after use remove the ADAM automatically restarted. Why?

    Still waiting for reply to know NI still exist or ..........?

    Even My Adam sometimes behaves the same way, once it was not opening at all, I tried unbricking, then also only after many tries, it restarted, what I observed, is Internal MMC is not getting mounted. I am not sure whather my findings are right or not, but when I was in recovery mode, I saw the message(error?) about MMC not mounted.

    though today I have received a mail from same name Thaheer (NI). NI ceo stated once in his blog that NI soon start technical work support point in India and US. Soon means in 2011 or 20....?
    Why don't they upload video's to user for most common troubles?

    Exclamation Frustration

    I cracked my adam screen on July 19th and emailed NI on the 20th to find out how I can get my tablet, which I like very much repaired. the past 3.5 weeks have been a mix of delay emails and no responses to my emails. What do I have to do to get my tablet fixed?

    I tried to contact Tactus Labs directly but got no response. Are they still your USA repair center and are they in business? The cracks get worse every time I touch it, so I am out a tablet until it is fixed. What can I do to expedite there process?

    I have written to you today on the native apps not working and these include chords, music, sniffer and camera. I am not going to flash the device.
    You mst diagnose what the problem is. If you have a new stable ROM, then I don't mind upgading to it. Do let me know.
