ICS Android 4.0 pre-alpha - Download and Installation

Update Instructions

Follow these steps to flash the ICS pre-alpha image on your adam:

- Copy update.zip and updateICS.zip to the external sdcard.
- Start the device in recovery mode.
- Select Install update.zip from external SD Card(Thanks to DJ_Steve for the recovery image)
- Once complete, reboot to recovery mode again
- Wipe the data and select the option - install zip from SD card.
- Select choose zip from SD Card
- Select updateICS.zip
- Wipe the data and cache
- Reboot the device

Feel free to download, and test out this pre-alpha ROM and post your feedback or any bugs you encounter!

how to get back to my AC3 version... its pretty useless at the moment..
i tried to use ac3.zip in the recovery.. it said (bad) and the process aborted..

I had honeycomb running on my Adam (PQI / Wifi). I couldn't even boot into recovery mode.

So, I used the instructions from http://conclave.notionink.com/showth...VFlash-Windows to flash the Adam and boot into Eden 1.5. I then tried the above steps but I could only apply the update.zip. After that, when I get into recovery mode, it is now a Clockwork Recovery (v3.0.0.5) menu. When I select wipe data/factory reset menu option, a hat symbol appears and it just hangs. Neither am I able to update the ICS image.

I have now gone back to Eden 1.5. Looks like I will have to wait for a more stable build to appear. In the meanwhile, am I doing anything wrong to update to ICS?

Update: Please ignore my post, use the menu button to select menu option in NI recovery mode and home button to select the menu option in clockwork recovery mode.

Ridiculous, useless and a waste of time ,,,why waste all this downloading , file loading, booting ,rebooting, just to look at very few windows,??????, and virtually nothing works !!!!
What was the point of this ? Just to give us a "look" at something incomplete,,,it's been almost a year now and notion/eden has never fully worked,,,nor have we seen apps that we were promised before,,remember the "rain storm" or the " graphic novel " store..manana-ville notion has just been one broken promise after another,,,,"we are working on it " is the mantra and reality exposes this to be just an excuse to keep us on hold..yes i bought my notion ink and yes nobody
forced me but if anything i've said her can be disputed ,let me hear it,,,,,,, , at least two maybe three generations of android have passed us by with not one ever complete os from notion ink,,,,i have been running the "beast " rom for months now and almost everything works,,,camera, amazon app store, android market ,mail all my browsers,,,,,,i turned down my "brightness" on my screen by one third and improved my battery life immensely,,,8 hours with constant use now and more when going from use to screen off to use to screen off etc,,,my tablet comes back from sleep mode fine i can stream netflix ,hbogo, play bejeweled ,card games , my gmail is running flawlessly,,and it is a usable tablet,,,,,face it notion inks sales ,shipping and repair model was a disaster,,notion ink has wasted their time and our failing to integrate notion/eden to any android upgrade

people install the beast rom and have a working table,,wait and keep waiting for the alpha but until that happens stop watching the dog and pony show ,,,,,, i am not affiliated with the author of the "beast" rom in any manner shape and form,,,,i use it because i want a working tablet
